Athletes often move asymmetrically, as in golf or tennis. No body is perfect but continual asymmetrical movement is going to cause torque on the shoulders and hips, as well as wear and tear on the joints. It is important to address these issues for normal use and optimal mobility. If you are limited in movement on one side of the body, this will affect your overall efficiency.
